July 20-22 2013

We celebrated our Bicol Trip this month (July 20-22 2013) by exploring the beautiful province of Legaspi Alabay in Bicol. Its kinda hard to make an Itinerary with a 5 year old kid lalo samin na adventure seekers. We went to few places which are child friendly. No Extreme or Adventures that needs tons of energy. We wore Adventure Time TShirts. Finn (My Hubby), Jake (My Son) and Me as Princess Buble Gum. Were so Excited for our Bicol Adventure Time! Thanks to Cebu Pacific for the Piso Fare. We booked our roundtrip ticket last November for only 3250Php , Roundtrip transfer for 2 adults and 1 kid. Murang Mura!

Adventure Time!

Adventure Time!

On our 1st Day . We arrived at Legazpi Airport at 2pm.  Legazpi Airport welcome us with a scenic mayon volcano view. So far, pinaka magandang Airport to for me dahil sa view ng Mayon Volcano.

Hello Albay!

Hello Albay!

We were greeted by our Hotel’s Driver. He mentioned a lot of places na pwede namen puntahan. He’s so Cheerful. My husband suggested Pinehurst Suite Hotel for our Lodging because of great feedback. Simple Hotel/ Inn which is good for us na Budget Traveler. Were not after our Lodging anyways, since most of the time e nasa labas lang kami and ine explore ang magandang Legazpi City.

The room costs P1200 per night good for 2 pax and 1 kid. It comes with free breakfast for 2 (Jollibee Delivery). The room is nice, cozy and clean. Very peaceful ng place and from our room kita ang mayon volcano. The place is secured as well since naka biometrics ang Lock nya sa Main Entrance then Card sa room. Rating: 9/10.  http://www.pinehurstcondotel.com/

After freshin up from our byahe from Manila to Legazpi,  we went straight to Albay Nature Park and Wildlife. Your kids will enjoy it since the park has Bike for hire. For only P20 , 30 minutes na makakapag bike ang kiddos nyo. You’ll see the usual animals sa zoo, no extra ordinary.

From Albay Park and Wildlife, we hire a tryc going to Cagsawa Ruins. P100 for the 3 of us. By the way, wala kaming service cause mas makakatipid ang commute since 3 lang kami.

Cagsawa Ruins: The Cagsawa Ruins (also spelled as Kagsawa or Cagsaua) are the remnants of an 18th century Franciscan church, the Cagsawa church, built in 1724 and destroyed by the 1814 eruption of the Mayon Volcano. They are located in Barangay Busay, Cagsawa, in the municipality of Daraga, Albay, Philippines.

It was destroyed during the most destructive eruption of the nearby Mayon Volcano in February 1, 1814. The eruption killed an estimated 1,200 people in the surrounding areas and buried the town of Cagsawa (among others) under several hundred million cubic metres of ash. Hundreds of inhabitants of the town of Cagsawa purportedly sought refuge in the church, but were also killed by either pyroclastic flows or lahar.[7][10] Only the belfry and some parts of the convent survive today,[2][11] though parts of the crumbling facade were still standing long after the 1814 eruption as attested by photographs. It is believed that the facade of the structure collapsed due to earthquakes in the 1950s.[citation needed]

We enjoyed cagsawa ruins. It is indeed a very beautiful tourist spot. Medyo creepy feeling since alam mo na over a hundred of years ago , a lot of people died on the same spot.

Picture Taking! Ayaw magpakita ng Mayon Volcano since hapon na. Good thing napagbigyan nya kami kahit konti.

After that, we rode another tryc heading to Daraga Legaspi. P150 for the 3 of us. Its a 20 minute travel from cagsawa to Daraga Legaspi.

Pahinga mode muna before heading to Embarcadero. One of Legaspi ALbay’s Pride.

Jeep heading to Embarcadero costs P8 per head. After 10 minutes, andun na kami. Embarcadero is a commercial spot in Legaspi. May Malls and restaurants. Feels like your in Glorietta but they have zipline and other activities for tourists.

Our Trip will never be complete without the sand, sun and beach. Black Sand Beaches, thats what Legaspi Albay has to offer. Instead of going to Hawaii for the famous black beaches, go to Bicol! Its more fun in the Philippines!

We rented a tryc heading to Bacacay Albay and paid P250. Almost an hour ang byahe from the central terminal mall. I feel relaxed and sleepy seeing grass and mayon volcano along the way.

We went to Viento Del Mar Resort, one of the best and kilalang beach in Bacacay. No Entrance Fee and cottage rent is P500 for a day tour.

Fine Black Sand. Lovely ala Bora Clouds, Perfect for a chillax morning.

Heading back to Daraga we rode a tryc for P40 for the 3 of us then P35 each for Bus. After that, we ate at the Famous DJC Halo Halo!

 facebook_-1136374933

I love the Halo Halo! Special Halo Halo costs P85 and its worth the price. I dont like the spaghetti since lasa syang Palabok and the burger, matigas ang tinapay!

facebook_-1784591912

We take a rest muna sa hotel before mag dinner sa 1st Colonial Grill. The resto was featured in Kris TV because of their panalong Bicol Express and Sili Ice Cream.

facebook_495882096

Sili Ice Cream costs P75 for a cup. (2 scoops). Masarap sa una but the anghang effect? winner. Makaka isang baso ka ng tubig and di mo sya makakain ng maramihan sa isang subo. Its the aftertaste ng anghang na nakapagpanalo sa lasa.

facebook_-494907692

Bicol Express. No Need to say anything. Basta MAANGHANG SYA!

That ended our trip. Total Expenses P10,000 (with Airfare) for the 3 of us. Sulit! Magayong Adventure Time in Bicol indeed!
