One of the most celebrated fiesta in the country is San Juan’s Fiesta also known as “Basaan” or Whatta Whatta!

St John the baptist is a saint born on June 24th. He is known as the prophet and saint who baptized a lot of people including his cousin Jesus Christ.

Every June 24 , you can never pass the town of San Juan without getting wet. This tradition will start at 7am till 12 noon. Kids use tabo and water gun and adults use batya or timba to splash water to anyone who will pass by.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Let me share our wedding timeline and planning 101! Below is the rough draft of our
wedding preparation that will be held this coming December 2014. I will post another
blog with full details for your reference after the wedding.

Every girl dreams of her wedding day .

A pretty wedding gown. Awesome theme and
motifs and delicious food for family and friends who will witness the event.

But  if you’re not that “well off” , that dream wedding is not attainable. as the
saying goes,” Kung gusto may paraan, kung ayaw maraming dahilan” Since we really
want that to happen, we plan and budgeted our wedding ahead of time.

Save the Date Jay + Annie Photo by Valentino Nool

Time to Prepare: 1 Year

Here are the things that you need to consider in planning your wedding:

1) Budget – Set your specific budget. Then just divide it for the wedding essentials and
suppliers . This is also the basis for the number of your guest.

2) Set a Timeline – Every month, you should accomplish one of your wedding essentials
such as down payments for the venue etc. Every month you should also set a specific
savings for the wedding. Make sure that you will have your own wedding notebook for
documentation purposes.

3. Venue and Wedding Date – Make sure that you have a target date and venue since that’s
the first thing that you have to secure.

4.Wedding Theme and Motifs

You should both agree for the motifs and theme of your
wedding.

Wedding to Do List: Tay's Confirmation

Wedding to Do List: Tay’s Confirmation

One of the requirements needed for a church wedding is the confirmation certificate of the bride and groom marked “for marriage purposes” . For our wedding prep, that is one of our to do lists. My fiance is unfortunate, di pa sya nakukumpilan.

Most of the churches in Manila doesnt have an” instant kupil day”. They normally do it every december ONLY, a requirement for students residing within the parokya.

We were advised that there is a church in manila that has confirmation schedule twice a week and you can get the certificate on the same day. So we searched for it online and found out that it is the church in Malacanang complex called  National Shrine of Saint Michael and the Archangels.

Goodluck!

I started working in call center industry when I was 17. Yes, underage. Good thing I was employed by a not so LEGIT company so a consent letter from my parents (Thank you Recto) saved me.

I’ve been working for 10 years in this industry. I’ve worked for 7 Centers/Accounts already.

Let me share with you the Pros and Cons (based on my experience) of working in a callcenter.

PROS

1) Good Salary

Yes, its definitely Higher. But it will still depends on how you manage your income.

I believe that having a good income will really depends on your lifestyle and status. If you’re single ,not into night life/party and knows how to save, working in a call center can make you a millionaire. But even if you’re working in a call center with good salary rate, it will just enough if you are the bread winner of the family.

2. Working with Team Mates almost similar to your age. BARKADA TEAM!

Most of the applicants are fresh graduates or working students. So expect to have co workers on those age bracket.

3. Patience will be a Talent, not a virtue.

Dealing with irrate customers or not so bright ones will make you a superhuman with the power of PATIENCE.

4. You can eat your meal in 15 minutes. Girl Scout Mode : ACTIVATED

Because of break schedules that can terminate or wash away your incentives if ever you go beyond the minutes, you have no choice but to finish your meal in 15 minutes or less.

5. No RUSH Hour on your way to work.

Source wordpress.blackcardmarketinggroup.com

Source wordpress.blackcardmarketinggroup.com

The benefits of working on a graveyard shift. TRAFFIC?? Doesnt ring a bell.

6. Lots of Incentive.

Due to forecasted volume of calls, the company will even give you something for doing your main job. Coming to Work on Time.

7.Team Building (Barkada Outing)

We got monthly team funds (not with my current company) that we can use for team R&R! Rest and Relaxation!

8. Health Card

You got sick, well pay for it!

P.S. Family Members Included

CONS

1. Over Spending

Having a good salary might lead you to spend too much, thinking that in a few days, its Payday Again.

2. Infidelity

source stopcheating.com

source stopcheating.com

Lets Admit it. Based on my experience, I know a lot of people
working in a call center that are engaged in this not so cool activity. Ive seen a lot of pseudo facebook accounts destroying someone’s moral because of infidelity. Possible reason can be the age bracket, activities (drinking session after shift) and frequent team bonding activities.

3.You will live with a partner called stress

source lifefitnessbydane.com

source lifefitnessbydane.com

Your 8 hour shift will be stressful. Managing things over the phone is not easy. Your callers can be an effin racist, irrate, centavo conscious etc etc.

4.Obesity

More Money , More Food.
Sleepy? Then Eat.
Stressed out? Eat.
You know whats next right?

5. Hold Up

source jimmyakin.com

source jimmyakin.com

Hold Up.Hold Up. Hold Up. Those evil people know that you’re working in a call center. They know that it will not be a waste of time to take something from you because they know that you got what they need. Money and Gadgets.

6.Tax

rajinder_tax

Our average annual tax can send a child to school. Thats how big it is.

7. Good Bye Family Gatherings

source youqueen.com

source youqueen.com

You’re lucky enough if your supervisor will declare that you’re on Leave or on Rest day on christmas and new years eve. Chances: 3 out of 10.

8. Health Problems

You will start to smoke to keep your senses awake. Coffee will be your best buddy. And Liquor will be your stress reliever. On top of those possible illness that you can get from those vices, Not getting the right amount of sleep can also make you sick.

Again, these are just based on my experience. Happy Weekend everyone!
